Construction appeared sound and on first wearing the shoe (I would liken it more to a boot) was comfortable if a bit loose. However on the third time of wearing, having lacing them more tightly to reduce looseness, after a short walk, the retaining rivet on the inside for the top left lace cleat had cut my ankle. It appears a design fault that the top four metal studs/rivets on the inside are not padded or covered in any way nor are they particularly smooth.. Disappointing.
